Hello Sarah,

I am thinking of travelling to Montenegro from August 12-19th as a single lady of 49. I would like to have a relaxing holiday while visiting the nicest places in Montenegro; beaches, one of the national parks, the lake etc. I would like to join locals and have the local feel. How can you help me? Thank you for your time.

Hi Ayla,

Thanks for your question, I'm happy to make some suggestions.

I'd recommend basing yourself in the Bay of Kotor or along the Budva Riviera. These are convenient for airports and central so you can explore easily. By the way, coming to Podgorica via Istanbul is probably the best route from Dubai.

I think a nice guesthouse along the Budva Riviera could be great for you. You'll get a very personal, local experience.

From your accommodation you'll be able to visit Skadar Lake (a national park), go to the beaches and join tours if you wish.
