Info About Expat Social Life

Hi Sarah

I love your site and section about living in Montenegro as we are considering a move.

I’m currently interviewing and my employer would take care of all formalities and visa etc.

The biggest question mark we have is about social life for the family. I want to make sure my wife, two daughters and our dog have a great life while I’m at work.

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of online content or groups of expats that we could find. Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how we could get in touch with some expats in Kotor/Tivat and have a chat about the “boring” things, like schooling, doctors, social life and overall experience?

Thanks,
Andreas

Info About Expat Social Life
by: Sarah

Hi Andreas,

The Tivat area is one of the liveliest for expats in Montenegro. There are lots of expats with their families working in Porto Montenegro and Lustica Bay and most of them are based in Tivat or nearby Kotor. With two English-speaking private schools in Tivat and lots of expats in the area, there's an excellent chance your family would integrate and be very happy in Tivat or Kotor.

The best place to ask questions is in the Facebook group Word of Mouth - Montenegro Expats and Visitors Group. You'll find lots of answers to your questions already there, be able to ask questions and be able to connect with people who live here.

Happy travels,
Sarah
