Temporary Car Insurance

Dear Sarah,

First of all: thanks a lot for all the information that I found here!!!

We want to drive with our own car from Croatia to Montenegro next Saturday. I have a green insurance card, but unfortunately MNE is crossed out. So I have to buy a temporary car insurance at the Debeli Brijeg border.
My question is: do you know if the insurance office there is open Saturday morning around 7 am?

Hi ...today I crossed the border from Croatia to Montenegro , i tried to buy insurance at the border from the sava office but i was told there that they no longer did it. I asked again saying i was told that i could buy it there and again he said since august it was not required. But as my insurance does not cover me i will not be insured. It was sunday today ..is it possible the man in the office was not the right person? I planned to spend 3 or 4 days in Montenegro on route to greece but im now worried im not insured

Hi Klaus,

Yes, the Sava Insurance office is open from 7am at the border. That's where you'll buy the insurance from.
